Vantage Counseling proudly offers personalized services conducted by Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Juan Garcia Ph.D. As a Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Garcia holds a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Counseling Psychology, indicating that he is among the most highly trained and educated mental health providers in the counseling field. Vantage Counseling is particularly  happy to provide services conducted by a Psychologist given that Nevada ranks 51st in the country for Psychologists per capita (i.e., Licensed Mental Health Providers with a Doctoral degree).

Dr. Garcia has an extensive, well-rounded training background that helps him to treat a wide range of issues. Dr. Garcia earned his Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, his Master’s Degree (M. A.) in Clinical Psychology from San Diego State University, and his Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. In addition, he underwent l doctoral training Counseling Center of the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Garcia is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Nevada, serving Las Vegas, Summerlin, and Henderson areas.  

Dr. Garcia has worked in various settings and in numerous capacities. He has conducted counseling and therapy at college counseling centers, hospitals, and middle schools;  consulted with  and provided counseling to professionals and executives, in the sports, entertainment, legal, mental health, and medical fields; and consulted with  organizations, corporate teams, athletic teams, and community centers. 

Dr. Garcia has also served as a Faculty member, Staff Psychologist, and Group Therapy Coordinator at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ (UNLV) Counseling and Psychological Services center. He has also held teaching, training, and research roles in several other universities. Each of these experiences has helped Dr. Garcia to integrate science, theory, and experience into his clinical practice.  

As a result of his extensive training , experience and education, Dr. Garcia has developed expertises in several areas of counseling including (but not limited to) relationships, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD). Moreover Dr. Garcia presents  an array of psychotherapy services including individual, group, couple, pre-marital, marriage, family, career, crisis, and intensive outpatient counseling.
